Canada’s first Gordon Ramsay Steak restaurant opens in Vancouver, BC, with an old-school feel of Chicago’s grand steakhouses.
We tapped into the Streamline Moderne design style for the aesthetic concept of the restaurant. Emerging from the 1933 Chicago World Fair, Streamline Moderne's characteristic long lines, metallic finishes, and smooth curves marked a sleek, forward-thinking look.
The private dining room exudes the luxe experience of retreating with one's inner circle for a cigar after dinner. Vintage elegance is found in the mahogany wall panels, brass light fixture, emerald velvet upholstery, and dimensional wallpaper with a palm motif that was popular in the 1940s. Previously a conference room, the space is restricted with a low ceiling, so we lined it with a dark mirror to expand and reflect these stunning features.
