Our brief was to give an unmistakeable sense of location to this flagship property. Whistler, one of the world’s top ski resorts, lent itself perfectly to a biophilic design approach. The large windows, with stunning mountain views from the property, begged to bring the outside in – we translated the surrounding natural elements into the interior’s forms and finishes. We used organic and irregular shapes in our furniture choices and finishes like the lichen pattern on the corridor carpet to mimic patterns in nature.
